Concentric Circles
Mon, June 20, 2011 at 08:00AM "Everybody has a home team: It’s the people you call when you get a flat tire or when something terrible happens. It’s the people who, near or far, know everything that’s wrong with you and love you anyways. These are the ones who tell you their secrets, who get themselves a glass of water without asking when they’re at your house. These are the people who cry when you cry. These are your people, your middle-of-the-night, no-matter-what people."

ohh so nice and colorful and round :) love it. You really inspire me to use more pinks and yellows and light blues in my work.
Those colours are so pretty. I love the way the circles are layered. Something to have a go at :)
I LOVE circles, so this index card design really appeals to me!
LOVE the circles!!! And yes, I did the challenge:)!! In fact I have to double up this week as I will be camping for a few days--no phone, no Internet, no blog--aaaaagggghhhh! It's a good thing, I know.
Love the circles..there's something a bit addictive about drawing them. I just realized I have two more to do to catch up. :) Sounds like fun!
I bet that has such a pretty glint to it. I see yours curl too. Any tips on how to get these flat after?
This one is shiny, yes, and Lianne, I just put my index cards, art journal pages, anything that curls or wrinkles, under a bunch of heavy books for a few days and they do flatten out.

I have been trying to get myself involved in art journaling, and have not found the idea to push me to really start. I read blogs about it, buy supplies to get going but the start has been hard. By the way I work full time and have a 7 mo old and a very active 2 year old. I think this is it. i don't know about the catch up but I plan to start tonight. Thanks for the idea and know you have inspired a jump start.
Kris, I just sent you an email. The first 2-3 kid years are so physically and emotionally tiring especially if working FT as well. If you put an index card in your backpack and a pretty marker you might find yourself drawing at some point during the day.
When my kids were little - and even now, really - if I ask them if they want to do art, they usually say no but if I just start doing something creative they often want to get involved or do the same. Sometimes I just leave some creative materials out... just to see what happens!
