Daily Paper Prompt #4: Flowers
Sat, August 4, 2012 at 11:48AM “You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island of opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land; there is no other life but this.”
Henry David Thoreau

3x5" index card, slicci pen, watercolors
Draw flowers in ink. Watercolor.
I've shared a quick sketch of how to draw these particular flowers.
You could use flowers climbing the edges of your art journal page, as doodles in the blank areas, or really big flowers that you can write on!

^_^ Here's my response! I've been looking forward to the prompt all day - I made it my incentive to get some work done (i.e. I wasn't allowed until I'd done my work!) http://stitchnmaille.wordpress.com/2012/08/04/todays-daily-paper-prompt-daisy-yellow/
I sort of got all excited about linking but didn't DO each one at a time. I'll DO that going forward. These flowers surprised me. I actually started painting some today for no other reason than I felt like it!!!
This flower was my first attempt at watercolor pencils. I think my flower has an art deco flair.
I found the quote "Now is the moment that never ends" on a note I wrote to myself earlier in the summer. It must have come from a very enlightened author.
I started doodling after downloading Daisy Yellow's printable doodle to fill in - and now I just can't stop.
I'm drawn particularly to flowers and the natural world. There are plenty of other doodles on the Stonechat site - be great to have you pay a visit - have a look around.
