Daily Paper Prompt #48: Doodle Flower
Mon, September 17, 2012 at 11:07AM
Draw a circle, or part of one. Draw simple petals from the edges. Draw a unique pattern in each petal. You can draw the pattern along the edges of the petal, or draw a pattern that ignores the edges - imagine a piece of fabric cut in that shape, with the random pattern inside.
So if you have 12 petals you'll need 12 patterns. Try zig zags, circles, parallel lines, triangles, tiny swirls. Please don't doubt your own unique doodlicious lines. Whatever you doodle is OK, it's just to bring peace to your mind, to have fun, to be childlike for a few moments. Your doodles will be all your own, they will be unique, quirky, instead of the same thing repeated over and over as in zentangles. Once you draw all of the patterns, the luscius patterns, grab your magic markers and fill them in with color. Try rainbows, alternating colors, blue + yellow, just grab a marker and "color" in a section.
