    Daily Paper Prompt #5: Linear

“There are times to stay put,
and what you want will come to you
and there are times to go out
    into the world and
find such a thing for yourself.”
    Lemony Snicket

Draw something with mostly straight lines, as if you were using an etch-a-sketch toy. This is my 12 yr old daughter's etchy creation.

A mandala with a square theme.

    Linear doodles.

    A maze.

    A grid-inspired art journal page.

Little Daisy Yellow's linear Etch-a-Sketch creation is a masterpiece. I could never compete with it, so instead for this daily paper prompt, I made a little three section paper collage of ladies' legs.

    So Linear!

Two Pocket Etch-a-Sketches are now on my Christmas wish list. One is for me and one is for my son. He'll love it!

Love this one even though I was stumped at first.. my Linear prompt result has been added : )

Having so much fun with DPP 2013! Trying lots of new techniques, usually feeling pretty happy with my results - and learning tons as I go. Linear has me stumped... but only for the moment. I know something will come to me!
