We build this place with the sand of memories; these castles are our memories and inventiveness made tangible. So part of us believes that when the tide starts coming in, we won't really have lost anything, because actually only a symbol of it was there in the sand. Another part of us thinks we'll figure out a way to divert the ocean. The bird is from a series of greeting cards I found while organizing. The bottom edge was stamped with a handmade triangle eraser stamp and doodled with a black gellyroll. To stamp, I used a cork, a date stamp, lids, pens and handmade hardware stamps. I've been doing Traci's 30 Days of Get Your Art On (again)... art journaling LOTS and will post in the weeks ahead.
