Altered Book: Glaringly Evident

"The hardest thing to explain
is the glaringly evident
which everybody has decided
not to see."
~ Ayn Rand

Going through an older altered book project, I found a few unfinished pages...  OK, a lot of unfinished pages. Pages with great backgrounds that I will never change, and pages with good backgrounds that I will embellish with collage.

On a simple rainbow acrylic background (bottom photo), I added images, cardstock & ephemera. I doodled with markers, added color & patterns with rubber stamps, handmade eraser stamps & a wine cork. The quote is perfect for the world we live in today.

Find other pages from this altered book at Flickr here & here and blogged in Dream Collage, Live in the Now, No Cure for Curiosity, Elemental Grid. We have house guests, so I am behind in photographing and posting! Art journal fun for DAYS 23 + 24 for NaNoJouMo!

Love it! Love the eraser stamp patterns - hadn't thought of just using the xacto knife. Doh! ;-)
