Altered Book: red.orange rev 1.1

"The only thing I know
is that I paint because I need to,
and I paint whatever passes through my head
without any other consideration."
~ Frida Kahlo

20x12" art journal details and pages from "tekenfilm" altered book project

My younger daughter and I played with acrylics and a brayer for our art journaling adventure for NaNoJouMo.

Check out the other pages in the on-going 'tekenfilm" book project, an altered illustrated children's book morphing into an art journal! Backgrounds first, collage and words later.

2 CHALLENGES. 30 DAYS. 60 CREATIONS. GO.

Ahhhhh . . . I totally identify with today's quote. Another artist recently asked me where my colors come from. I told her that I really didn't know - they're just "inside" and they have to come out! Hugs, Terri xoxo

Terri, I feel the same way ~ I don't know why I choose the colors I do, and I don't worry about them "going" together, I just paint with colors I like. ~ Tammy
