Altered Book: red.rainbow rev 2.0

"No story is a straight line.
The geometry of a human life
is too imperfect and complex,
too distorted by the laughter of time
and the bewildering intricacies
of fate to admit the straight line
into it's system of laws."
— Pat Conroy

Progress on the neocolor rainbow background I started in red.rainbow rev 1.1. I love that journal pages don't have to make sense or document anything, they can be just color if that's what you want. I had a little trouble grasping this at first, but now I think it's a great escape from my analytical thought patterns.

I LOVE this so much. I love the patchwork nature, all the different colors and texture of the images coming together, but I also love the simplicity of the grid and the way you've arranged it. This is so lovely- something about it really speaks to me.

This is one fantastic piece of art among many others I've seen by you. I doodle and paint and draw a lot myself, and you give me inspiration! Thanks! // great fan :D marie
