Art Journal: Journey

{collage.gesso.neocolors}

While the girls worked in their photo albums, I made collages in a wire-bound watercolor pad, later adding a layer of white gesso with a sponge, and edging with neocolors. In this collage, ephemera from our trip to Mexico in December, cardstock, magazine images, receipts... I'm in a groove, doing collages and textured backgrounds... later this month perhaps I'll switch to journaling or finding quotes for these pages. This is one of 6 Collages 6 Ways.

I have found that the process of collaging or painting or doodling in my art journal can be so calming for me. I looks that way for you, too. I hope you'll share the pages after you've journaled them, too.
Peace & Love,
~Barb~

Hi, Tammy!
Although I recently found your blog, I love it's spirit and creative energy. I also value our beginning friendship. Cathy Mendola from Reflections of a Ramblin' Girl awarded me with a Kreativ Blogger Award. In the spirit of this award, it's to be passed on to 8 more bloggers. I can't think of anyone who is more deserving. Please stop by my blog to copy the picture and the text that came with it. Then choose 8 more deserving people.
Hugs,
Terri :)

Your journals are beautiful and bright--very lovely.
