Art Journal Pages: Flipping-Thru the Exacompta

“I remind myself that not everything is a sign, that some things simply are what they appear to be and should not be analyzed, deconstructed, or forced to bear the burden of metaphor, symbol, omen, or portent.”
― Diane Schoemperlen

Here's a flip-through of the last 2/3 of the art journal pages in the exacompta!

The journal is 5.5"x8" {closed}. This JOURNAL has LOTS of pages. I finally painted all of the pages, even the inside back cover, but still lots of pages to go back and finish out. The materials are golden tubed acrylics, fluid acrylics, neocolors, gesso and found stamps. I'm surprised that some of my favorite art journal pages are in this journal ~ totally unexpected. This paper can take major layers and nothing has disintegrated, bled-thru or torn. The first 1/3 of the journal was used for mandalas and it was just so-so for drawing. For art journaling, it rocks.

What is the size? It looks small and intimate. Love it.

{Tammy}: Brian, Just added the size - 5.5" x 8" closed, that gives people a frame of reference! Quite small pages, and you are right, quite wonderful.

I really enjoyed the flip-through - inspiring. Lovely vibrant colours, pages waiting to be played on - love it, love it, love it! I think I'll go paint some myself . . .

Loved watching the video and I just had one of those "ah, duh!" moments. Now I think I will go incorporate an ICAD on a journal page!

Tammy, I love your flip-through videos! They always inspire me to get out my art journal and start creating pages. I also admire how you manage to integrate collage and paint so well on your pages. Thanks for the peek into your journal!

I would love to see your flip through. Your art is awesome
. Is there anyway you can make the video mobilephone compatible?

{Tammy} Ashley, At present I'm not planning to release a smaller screen version of each video, it adds an additional conversion/upload for me. Hopefully you have a computer where you can access?
