Art Journaling 101

freshly updated!

art journaling 101 neocolors

Art Journaling 101 is now new and improved! You do not need to be an "artist" or know how to paint or draw to make an art journal. It is easy to get started. Learn what supplies you'll need to start an art journal, including how to find collage and ephemera, art supplies, watercolor and acrylic paints, pens, adhesives, gessoes and other materials used to make art journal pages. There are also links to sites, podcasts, challenges, books and journal prompts to inspire your creativity every day!

Throughout Daisy Yellow you can find tutorials and techniques to explore once you get started.

Doing art is relaxing and therapeutic. It allows you to communicate your emotions, explore thoughts, express thoughts and feelings with color, words and images. An art journal is free of constraints. It is whatever you want it to be. It lets you "draw outside the lines" and remove the box altogether.

The fun is in the process. Now let's get started in art journaling.

And don't forget to get an Art=Happy badge for your blog!

Fantastic information, thank you for taking the time to put it all together. It's given me some good ideas as sometime it's hard to know where to start. Thanks again.

I just wanted to say that I've been lurking for a while now - I really enjoy your blog - envy your productivity - and have you bookmarked to come back and visit on a regular basis.
I'm over in the UK and have a similar passion to help as many people as I can see the possibilities of creativity and art.
Hi!
