Boxed Doodles

5x8" watercolor moleskine journal, pitt pen, watercolor

Drawing new designs to get my mind thinking in different directions. The design was drawn in PITT pen while the kids were having their evening baths. The challenge was to draw different patterns all with a circle at the center. A few days later I added words and watercolored the grid.

very interesting to see the sketch before you added color...with all the color, i didn't realize the repetition. will definitely do a version of this in my daily moleskine art journal one day soon. thanks for the inspiration!

Loved this--so I had to try something similiar! You are so inspiring! I did some embroidery thread stitches on the cardstock I used but it doesn't show up well. It's in the Art Journal 2010 album.
