building a rainbow {5 days of color}: blue or purple

[PAGE DOWN to ADD YOUR LINK to THE LINKY LOVE]

We're building a rainbow, want to help?

{the details of the challenge are here in this post}

Suggestions: an art journal page, a sketch, a doodle, a painting, a mixed media work, embroidery, crochet in one main color.

Here's where you go to add a link to your art for each color - there are linky lovies on each page.

DECEMBER 1: RED or PINK

DECEMBER 2: ORANGE or YELLOW

DECEMBER 3: GREEN or AQUA

DECEMBER 4: BLUE or PURPLE

DECEMBER 5: BLACK or WHITE

BLUE!

{Stephanie aka Luthien is our color hostess, go check out the intro to BLUE}

For blue, I continued my watercolor ways and doodled in pitt pen, filled in the boxes with words and things associated with the color blue, then watercolored while it rain, rain, rained outside. The words include: oxford shirts, blue jeans, indigo, sky, tranquility, ocean, nail polish, frisbees!

PURPLE!

{our color hostess is Caitlyn, who welcomes purple with open arms, go check out the intro to PURPLE}

my purple art journal page is on 9x12" cardboard; acrylics, ephemera, neocolors

 Please post your link(s) to your artwork in BLUE and your artwork in PURPLE  (you can link twice, if they are in separate posts), as we begin creating our rainbow. {please link to the exact post, not the blog home page}

I had fun with this page. Lately I seem to use blue a lot, but I still don't feel comfortable with it. Getting out of my box :)

It's so great to see everyone's take on colors, which ones they are drawn to and what they inspire.

Hooray! I ended up doing a blue as well, so I added that to the linky

I did both purple and blue for this one.
