building a rainbow {5 days of color} green or aqua

[PAGE DOWN to ADD YOUR LINK to THE LINKY LOVE]

We're building a rainbow, want to help?

{the details of the challenge are here in this post}

Suggestions: an art journal page, a sketch, a doodle, a painting, a mixed media work, embroidery, crochet in one main color.

Here's where you go to add a link to your art for each color - there are linky lovies on each page.

DECEMBER 1: RED or PINK

DECEMBER 2: ORANGE or YELLOW

DECEMBER 3: GREEN or AQUA

DECEMBER 4: BLUE or PURPLE

DECEMBER 5: BLACK or WHITE

 GREEN!

{our color hostess for yellow is Carlene of Taylor Maide, go check out the intro to GREEN}

9x12" watercolor paper, neocolors

They're playing green day in a green house in a green neighborhood under payne's gray skies.

AQUA!

{our color hostess for yellow is Jazmin of syrens idyll, check out the intro to AQUA}

5x8" watercolor moleskine, pitt pen, watercolor

I drew a mandala with linear petals, perhaps metallic. To make it aqua artwork, I experimented by mixing about 8 versions of what I envisioned as aqua - unscientifically mixing various blues with various greens in my little palettes.

For motivation today, go listen to the quick 5 minute talk at TED: Ric Elias: 3 Things I Learned While My Plane Crashed. And go hug your kids. {via tweet from @Anmano}

Please post your link(s) to your artwork in GREEN and your artwork in AQUA (you can link twice, if they are in separate posts), as we begin creating our rainbow. {please link to the exact post, not the blog home page}

Note: If you are linking to Flickr, make sure the photo is "public" or the link will not work. I've had to delete a few links to private Flickr photos.

I'm digging the green houses of course, and the aqua mandala is great.

I went outside and got creative with branches! Check out my greens at http://musingsonrealities.blogspot.com/2011/12/go-green.html
