Carving Eraser Stamps

Creating your own stamps is easy, but addictive! This morning my daughter and I carved our first eraser stamps. They turned out better than expected. You just draw the pattern or design in pen on each eraser. Then cut the desired shape using an exacto knife. The eraser is like butter! My older daughter (8) drew a few designs and I cut the erasers. The exacto is too sharp for her to use, but she was thrilled with the results and played around stamping in various colors and combinations of stamps. Gotta love that excitement. This slideshow was made with Pictobrowser.

You can use hand-made stamps to create unique touches for your art! You can stamp directly on an art journal background, use the stamps to embellish pages, stamp fabric, etc. The imperfect nature of handmade stamps makes them so appealing...

Hand-made stamps can be used in so many ways:

  • Use stamped fabric strips as ephemera in art journals
  • Stamp in art journals or stamp unique backgrounds
  • Handmade greeting cards
  • Make stamps for specific needs
