Chopped II

"As a general rule...people ask for advice
only in order not to follow it; or if they do follow it,
in order to have someone to blame for giving it."
~Alexandre Dumas

these pages met the shredder

It wasn't enough to cut up a bunch of pages yesterday, the wildness continued and a massive number of pages were cut, chopped, punched and otherwise demolished all in the sake of art. Bookmarks, collage elements, journal fodder, projects-yet-to-be-shared.

More proof that art journaling has no rules.

Beautiful colors on all of your papers. I love the act of cutting, and punching, and chopping. It's almost therapeutic, don't you think? :-) And exciting to think of the projects all those pieces will eventually make their way into.

I can't wait to see what you make with all those enticing squares and circles of colour! Now I feel like cutting up some of my own pages too...

The page on the left is pure art. Why?

Thanks all for your comments. The pages that I cut up weren't special to me, and I thought I would enjoy them more as parts of other art journal pages. I hope that you all know that I wouldn't destroy an art journal page I adored! I didn't mean to give that impression.

I found your site through Crescendoh's "best art journaling" page. I LOVE it!! I am linking back to your page so I can visit more often and get inspired. I also love the fact that you have squarespace site like me amongst these sea of bloggers :)
