Creative Experiments 2011.rev.9

“Time you enjoyed wasting
is not wasted time.”
T.S. Eliot

Welcome to the ninth set of creative experiments for 2011. The idea behind the experiments is to explore {scary}. Play off things you already know how to do; explore and learn without letting go of the familiar.

Creative Experiments 2011.rev.9
Daisy Yellow

For tracking purposes, each experiment is valued at one creativity point unless otherwise noted.

shake it, don't bake it: Create an art journal page that looks like a scrapbook page with a FAKE story. Cut out images from a magazine or take photos of strangers, and make up a fake story of a vacation or event or problem and write about it as if it really happened.

monopoly, rewritten: Revise the rules to monopoly and play a game with your new rules. If Monopoly is not your thing, try another game from your childhood.

dice: Spin a pair of dice, and then draw them in all of their 3D goodness.

quasi-words: Create a page in your art journal made of nonsense words. Here's my tangentiaficated nonsense page.

cloudy: Wait until you have a cloudy day, even just a few clouds.  Figure out what type of clouds they are, and give them elaborate descriptions. Give them paint chip type names. What images do you see? What colors are hidden in the clouds? {optional} create a page in your art journal about clouds

Check out all of the creative experiments!

[Please do not copy/paste the experiments to your site, as excited as you are to do them. The content is copyright Daisy Yellow. Please do link back to the list and post your experiments to share.]
