A cityscape with a distinct change. I'm not thrilled with it; it was a challenge-of-the-frustrating-kind for me to draw upright buildings perpendicular to the imaginary beach, yet at a slight angle off parallel to the adjacent building. The idea was to create a little city along the beach, but I'm thinking the ocean takes up way too much of the page. Still, it has a certain funky wonkiness. And this paper rocks. I love working from a watercolor pad, the paper stays flat until you cut off the paper from the pad.

Check out my kids' art journals... some of them are pretty amazing, considering that they are in middle school... But mind you... these are the REALLY good ones from about 40 students... I am really having a struggle motivating some students to just sit and enjoy these topics... any suggestions?

Tammy, I love your wonky city!!! So much to look at, and admire! The ocean is big, but oceans are big!! I think this is so cool!
I love these cities, you know you have gotten me doing mandalas so now it looks like I should try a cityscape next. I love doing zentangles so perhaps buildings are the next step. Thanks for inspiring me to try new things.
