Flip-Thru: Exacompta Journal

A quick flip-through of my exacompta journal {5.5x8" exacompta sketch book, with a silver edge to each page}, with a bit of everything -- watercolors, neocolors, doodles, backgrounds, collage, mandalas, and a few little drawings by my kids. If you want to see a few of the pages in more detail, check out Neocolor, Fractional, Origami, Design Inspiration Mind Map, Lawnmowers, Star Catcher, Bouquet, List of Places I've Drawn (At).

i've always loved journal flip-throughs! you have such beautiful pages, so full of color and pattern. you must have a rainbow-colored soul.

I am SUCH a fan of flip-through videos. They give me such a better sense of people's journals than still shots. Love all those mandalas...amazing!

Lovely and inspiring... Wish I could especially flip back to star catcher for a closer look. Nice choice with the background music, too. Thank you.

That was really interesting. I like the building landscapes and the pinky/orange abstract with circle prints towards the end. As someone new to journaling it's nice to see how others present their pages within a context of a book rather then page by page. The music was lovely too

Ingrid, What a lovely comment... and I believe your soul is bursting with magic + love!

April, There's a link to Star Catcher in the post - take a looky. Thank you for your note about the music, I think good music makes a difference.

Julia, The art at the 1:24 point was created with watercolor and frisket - an experiment. I did a little mini-video... here's the link: http://daisyyellow.squarespace.com/vividlife/watercolor-painting-masking-fluid.html

Andria, Terri + NaNa, Thank you for stopping by and saying hello.

Lianne, I agree about the benefit of seeing the pages together, in their natural environment. I kind of see this one as a drawing journal even though I do more than draw. It's a little of everything.

Just looking at this now, it was midsummer this weekend so I'm behind on reading blogs. Love this journal, my favorites are the houses in green, blue etc. Very cool!

PS: I've changed my blog rss feed, and link to the main page. Please update your blog roll, thanks!
