In Fresh Start, I shared some new goals for this space. It's really returning to my roots here rather than reinventing the wheel. I'll be linking to more blogs, focusing more energy here and less on FB and twitter.
I'm in the midst of 21 Random Acts of Kindness... and happy to report that I have met my goal of leaving 21 comments on blog posts and have decided to do 21 more. I've completed only 3 of my goal of 21 kindnesses but my kids are getting in on the act and each of them has done 3 kindnesses!
- Jazmin prompted herself to draw a girl with office supplies, prompted by an inadvertant prompt in the DY Facebook group. So I guess that's an accidental office supply prompt. Either way, proof that you don't need any specific art materials to be creative.
- Julie Gibbons (@JulieGibbons on twitter) made a little video with the new Vine app. "Etsy excitement from Tammy vine.co/v/b1gzDEhdqdz" when she received her print of the Trance Mandala and all of the little goodies tucked inside for their journey across the ocean to the UK. And yes, you can see the video even without Vine {I'm a droid user, so no Vine yet}. Julie is offering a new mandala workshop called Great Round of Mandala encompassing a variety of perspectives on this symbol.
- Anika shared an inspiring round-up of patterns from the December Pattern-a-Day challenge. I was honored when Anika asked if she could share my artwork. For those who love patterns, dream of patterns, those considering doing Anika's pattern-a-day challenge for February: yacht loads of inspiration at the Pattern Design Glossary from Artlandia. Amy Atlas shares a luscious Pattern Design Board. Find out what ogee, argyle, boteh {paisley} and cartouche mean!
- Amy Cowen has released Episode #171 of the Creative Mom Podcast. This long-awaited episode is about bringing art into your life, about picking up threads that you might have inadvertently let go, a little of everything. If you haven't listened before, be sure to go back, back, back to the start and listen to a bunch of the older episodes. I interviewed Amy a few months ago.
- Gobs of doodly love for Dawn's new book Art Doodle Love
. Here are my pages and you can find links to the other participants in the blog hop.
- Loving the Circa fabrics from Sis Boom. Discovered via The Little Red Hen.
- Super happy to learn that Nathalie's journal pages are part of Orly Avineri's new book 14 Artist Journals
.
- Katie Licht's collages always make me think. Or smile. Or both.
- How fun are the characters in Michelle's 365 project?
- Thank you to Lifespotting for the Very Inspiring Blog Award!
- Eden is a maniac, creating mandalas with vivid, saturated color and a doodly character. And she can draw blue jeans!
- In How to Drum Up Business When You’re a One Person Show, Abbey Glassenberg, writes about how to get involved and get yourself out there... {hint} not by waiting patiently at the sidelines.

I love these links! I hope you continue to post more of them. I don't follow art/craft blogs except yours, and I LOVE the slightly-different perspective they have on creativity than writing blogs do.
Thanks for posting all these links to such wonderful blogs, Tammy.
What a great set of links, Tammy - thank you for sharing :) Thanks also for including me, my video and my mandala course <3
I do like your idea of sharing more on your blog and less on FB and Twitter - I'm feeling exactly the same!
Look forward to more from you! xo
I'm happy to hear you'll be posting more here. I'm just not able to keep up with FB the same way...and I'm still holding out on Twitter. Love all the love you're sharing! xx
Thank you for including a mention and link for my 365 character project. I wasn't sure how many people were/are following along as it isn't that "mainstream." I'm having lots of fun though populating my journals and studio with all sorts of characters. Anyway, thank you for this link love...lots of cool places to explore!
Isn't it funny how inspiration can be a simple as a conversation about favorite office supplies?
