Inked  Swirls

"How many legs does a dog have
if you call the tail a leg?
Four. Calling a tail a leg
doesn't make it a leg."
~Abraham Lincoln

playing with ink, doodling tiny swirls, boxes and lines with a calligraphy pen, amidst the larger swirls

writing with a chopstick and water

dipping a pen with fountain pen ink to fill the lines

drawing with a chopstick and water

dripping the ink at the edges, watching the ink pull into to the water

J. Herbin Café des îles ("Island Coffee") Fountain Pen Ink, using chopstick and calligraphy marker.

This fun was inspired by this ink love.

My daughter's (11) exploration is in the Kick-Start Your Art Journal post.
