inky collaboration
Mon, January 23, 2012 at 01:55PM “The secret is to keep adding voices, adding ideas, and moving things around as you put together your life. If you’re lucky, putting together your life is a process that will last through every single day you’re alive.”
Ann Patchett
My older daughter (12) was home from school with a cold last week (better now) so we collaborated on some inky wonderfulness. Sick days shoud be restful, but they don't need to be boring! We used 4 different colors of j. herbin inks. Here's a link to the j. herbin perle noir at jet pens, it's deep-deep purple.
How lush are these inks? We moved the inks around with chopsticks, calligraphy pens and water. Here are more of our experiments creating abstracts wth india inks.

I love t he vivid colors! I've never seen those inks before here, but I really love them!
(and what a fun way to spend a sick day)
yummy colors. might have to get my ink out today! (love ann patchett!)
These are pure happiness! The colors, the movement in the lines, and most of all the story behind them. How wonderful to have made them with her - even if she was sick.
these ink colours are sooooo gorgeous. Isn't it fun to play with colour? Sounds like it was not a bad sick day for your daughter. :-)
keep posting! xoxo
