This is so genius to me as there are many techniques that I've tried where I haven't loved the outcome. But I never thought to set aside some play time and practice! For me, my journal is more about experimenting and playing so I try not to stress--if things go wrong, I just finish the page and start a new one! Can you believe I've never thought to use it as a practice space? Hah! I'm giddy with excitement to go and re-try all of the techniques that have gone awry in the past!
