Lavender Mandala

Lavender mandala, ultra-thin (that's the type, but it's a misnomer) Sharpie marker, 5x8" unlined Moleskine journal. One of the experiments I'd planned this month was to do something familiar using a new art material. So while the girls were splashing away in the pool (still chilly for me) I drew a mandala.

Quoting from my notes, "Familiar art, new tool - Sharpie. Bleeds - imprecise edges, shows strokes, thick, just don't like the experience." I'm used to an extra super fine or super fine PITT pen so this Sharpie felt mushy, vague, imprecise. Not only that, but it bled through the page.
