List: Places I've Drawn [At]
Tue, November 16, 2010 at 10:44PM "Winter is an etching,
spring a watercolor,
summer an oil painting
and autumn a mosaic of them all."
~ Stanley Horowitz

5.5x8.5" art journal page, exacompta journal, pitt pen, watercolor
A grammatically awkward post title, yet I leave it as it is because it's just a post title and not inherently urgent or permanent. If I left the original title, "Places I've Drawn," you would mistakenly think I drew our car, which is untrue. Anyhow, I'm happy to say I've seriously multi-tasked this piece, squeezing as much as I could out of this one little page.
This next part was like a treasure hunt through Daisy Yellow. Whew!
The list includes:
- The car
- In restaurants
- In infinite Starbucks
- At an indie cafe
- At Six Flags Over Texas
- At my dad's house
- At the beach
- At hotel pools
- In hotel rooms
- On a ginormous # of flights and more flights
- At the tennis courts
- On a train from Ghent to Bruges
- At airports
- In the bathroom while the kids are tubbying
- On the bed
- At outdoor summer swimming lessons
- At our pool
- At the soccer fields
- At the kids' gymnastics and dance classes
- At the kids' doctor/dentist appts
- At school
- At the tire repair store
And I forgot couldn't fit:
- At the bookstore
- At a restaurant in Bruges
- At a laundromat/washeteria in Trier, Germany
- At the breakfast table with a cup of tea in the middle of the night
- At the park
So this page represents all of this, wrapped up in a wavy package with a little brown raffia bow:
- A list for Aimee's List It Tuesday at Artsyville
- An art journal page for Day 16 of NaNoJouMo
- Line drawing practice
- Slow journaling
