No Frills Prompt 25: Translucent

hibiscus, sunset

Fresh weekly creative prompts that are simple, flexible and fully customizable. The photograph of the red hibiscus and the word "translucent" can be used together or separately.

{news update: The No Frills Prompts will go on holiday until September 2011}

IDEAS...

♦ Photograph something through a curtain, something just beyond the curtain or the shadow it creates.

♦ Use only red and white {anything, collage, paint, markers} on an art journal page.

♦ Take a walk in your garden just after sunrise or just before sunset when the light is at a very steep angle. What looks different?

♦ Write a mini-story which includes these words: scarlett, pineapple, maze, clock, candle.

Check out the guide to the No Frills Prompts!

Hibiscus flowers remind me of my childhood, growing up at grandma and grandpa's house! They had lots of hibiscus plants in red and white. I posted my response to this prompt in the Daisy Yellow Prompt Flickr group.

I found translucency sneaking into my work on another project and I went with it. Blogged about it here:
