One Word 2010

"Do not be too timid and squeamish
about your actions.
All life is an experience."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

"beautify" in 5x8" watercolor moleskine journal, pitt pen, watercolor

My word for 2010. Many words flew around my mind,
but this one gradually settled in and I like it.

So what is your word???

Your lettering is exquisite, Tammy! Great choice for your word. I've chosen "anticipate". It just popped into my mind earlier this month and stuck like velcro. I think there's a lot of positive things to expect this year, and I'm eagerly anticipating them. Hugs, Terri xoxox

That's a perfect word for you Tammy! I think there's a lot of Beauty at Daisy Yellow!!

Ahh, can't seem to settle on my word yet, my self appointed deadline is the 31st!

*Terri, That is an interesting word choice, and we can all focus on the positive, for sure!
*Eden, I didn't settle on my word for 2009 until late February... just trust that it will come to you. If you are in between two words, do some art with each and see which strikes more of a call to action for you.
*Sue, Is that S-T-R-E-T-C-H your boundaries, your thoughts, your creativity, your skills? Very curious.

My word for 2010 is "contentment" with its connotation of being satisfied with what one has, and grateful, too.

good question - and i like how you illustrated your word for the year! my word for twenty-ten is "production"! i'm off to a good start with 18 out of 18 daily aceo's being done!

* chaotic beauty, awesome word, how can you not have a good year with that word?

* carol, last year i noticed a lot of artists creating art around their words, even having mugs printed, t-shirts, anything to keep as a reminder. last year i made a simple piece of art with scrapbook letters on a watercolor background and hung it on the inspiration board in my office. and i'm just the opposite. i do art and to hell with the laundry and dusting... maybe we have to compromise!

* lizbeth, lovely word selection, i could definitely see "contentment" as a positive force this year!

* rootmix, a productive word that should get you going every day. my word last year was progress and it worked wonderfully when i lost focus.

* serena, thanks for your sweet words!

p.s. i visited all of your blogs, what a CREATIVE and eloquent group of women. i'm touched.
