the first tomatoes of the season

My older daughter and husband built this triangular structure and planted an upside-down tomato garden with 12 hybrid varieties. She loves tomatoes, so the watering, measuring, charting and graphing will pay off in tomatoes.

the daylillies are blooming, with superhero blooms

"The gardener's work is never at end;
it begins with the year, and continues to the next:
he prepares the ground, and then he sows it;
after that he plants, and then he gathers the fruits...."

wow! that tomato garden is impressive! may ya'll's hard work pay off in a bountiful harvest...my mouth is watering at the thought of a good, home-grown tomato on a BLT!
Beautiful ideas! I have two tomato plants...but they haven't produced any tomatoes yet (in the UK).
For some reason, I'm really feeling bright orange and a cool pink together. Usually I stray to the blues and greens, but lately I have been about the cirtus/berry colors. It feels like summer to me.
beautiful mandala Tammy!
I love that tomato structure.
lovely photos all :-)
this week i'm feeling drawn to the bright sunshiny yellow of evening primrose just starting to bloom in my garden - I love how the yellow looks against the green leaves and the reddish petal sheath (not sure of the name for it - calyx?)
I'm lovin' all of that bright orange and maybe some hot pink too! Hugs, Terri xoxo
