Plaza

&9.5 x 12" Clairefontaine watercolor paper, pitt pen, background added digitally

Building design + construction continues on a "larger" small scale. The first set and the second set of buildings were drawn on 6x8" drawing paper. "Plaza" was drawn on 9.5x12" watercolor paper... over 2x the surface area! A vast canvas and yummy paper made this even more fun to create, upping the ante on silly architectural detail.

I love the way this ceiling from a castle in Germany works as a sky for the Plaza. Photoshop rocks.

I'm enjoying the stitched mixed media books by cathy cullis, especially forever yours. I found Cathy's site via a double hop from that of Druga Szesnascie, who has created the most charming altered book, textured, rough and retro.

I am always so attracted to buildings and your cityscapes are fab! Next free moment--I'm going to try a cityscape of my own. You always inspire me.

*Valerie, Thank you for visiting!
*Eden, Oooh, I like the fact that they have energy, like a big city... thank you!
*Terri, Glad you popped over!
*Lizbeth, Go for it! I hope you find some fun buildings as inspiration.

I found inspiration for drawing these buildings in European architecture during our trip this past summer.
