Tiny Dancer on the Radio
Sun, November 14, 2010 at 12:44PM Blue jean baby, L.A. lady,
seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile,
you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her
dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me,
tiny dancer in my hand
~ Tiny Dancer, Elton John
lyrics, Bernie Taupin

5x8" watercolor moleskine, pitt pen
Drawn at the tire shop, getting a flat repaired.
Lounging in the waiting area, diner era red leatherette chairs.
Tiny Dancer playing, reminding me of listening to the radio on breezy summer afternoons, trying to hit RECORD+PLAY as a song began, to capture the music on my cassette recorder!

Drawn last week, must have done two in one day and posts mixed up, so here it is.

love that you did this while you were getting a flat fixed!!
Your mandala reminds me of a twirling dancer! That's an awesome song, huh? Sounds like we're of the same age group.
Sorry, everytime I hear Tiny Dancer I think of the Friend's episode where Pheobe thinks the song is young Tony Danza. lol...love your art!
Just found you at AEDM and I fell in love with your banner and the words "a vivid life with kids." Liking how you used your time at the tire shop also!
