watercolor line work

I was so excited I took the page outside for a photo while it was still wet!

This is the first page with bold color.

This is the second page dabbed with a paper towell to gob up much of the color; I like the soft look.

8.5" x 11.7" Moleskine Watercolour A4 Journal

Who said practice can't be beautiful?

I've been doing a bunch of this brush practice! This is my art for DAYs No. SEVENTEEN + EIGHTEEN of Art Every Day Month at Creative Every Day.

{editor's note: squarespace (my blogging platform) just released a major upgrade and i've been toying with all of the new fun styles, fonts, etc and so bear with me as i play! we also have guests arriving early next week and i am trying to get the house cleaned and organized, no small feat, so my response to comments has been sparse. i promise to be up and running again in the comments section after thanksgiving week!}

I love how the paper towels texture is coming through. I've got some embossed napkins in a baroque print and wonder if I could get a similar effect but with swirly-ness instead? Gotta try it now I've seen this. Very cool, thanks for sharing xx

Coloured bar codes - priceless! I love them - I think I'll make some mulitcoloured lines to write on.
