Wonky Wormy Migraine Mandala

5x8" moleskine, pitt pen

I'm guessing there's a scientific continuum of migraine pain, a rating system between wicked and incomprehensible. In early June I had a "mild" migraine. Right.

A twitter pal suggested drawing to get my mind|brain off the pain. Later in the day, when I could move my head and open my eyes, I drew. Drawing in a daze. Different.

What's up with the wonky wormy center?

So sorry about the migraine. I rank mine based on how functional I can be. If I'm in bed, my family knows not to bother me! I once did an entire journal page by collaging the scary small print info. sheets from my migraine medicine as a background and painting a muddy brown over it. While I hate having a migraine, I love the way the page expresses how I was feeling that day. I guess its one of those "when life gives you lemons..." moments.
